THE SMALL GRANTS COMPETITIONS OF UP TO US $ 20,000 UNDER THE GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE MOUNTAINS OF CENTRAL ASIA BIODIVERSITY HOTSPOT IN TURKMENISTAN AND UZBEKISTAN COMPLETED

The total number of applications for small grants: 9
The following projects were selected by the Selection Committee based on the results of the expert review:

 

Turkmenistan:

1. Public Organization “Obadeskahyzmat”

Project «Conservation and propagation of pistachio orchards in the Koitendag State Nature Reserve in order to preserve key areas of biodiversity»

2. Nature Preserving Society of Turkmenistan

Project «Current assessment of the condition and development of additional measures for the protection of the Bukhara deer»

 

Uzbekistan:

1. Public Association “Jonli Tabiat” of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Project «Identification of the necessary measures for the conservation of priority biodiversity species in the northern foothill plain of the Nuratau range based on detailed field studies and the involvement of stakeholders in the project»

2. Michael Succow Foundation

Project «Conservation of key natural areas in the Ferghana Valley (the Republic of Uzbekistan)»
